The January - April 2012 Acolyte Team schedule has now been posted.

*** Please check the calendar/schedule carefully for your assignments.

I believe I have honored all of the scheduling requests/vacations/conflicts that were sent to me, and I have tried hard to give all Acolytes a variety of early and late services.

We have good news! There are approximately 10 members of our church that would like to join our Acolyte Team. Fr. Leswing made a decision to wait until mid-January to do the training for these new acolytes, so this schedule has been built in a way that allows us to add more acolytes to services in late February - April. It also means that - moving into the summer and next fall we should have a larger pool of acolytes ready to serve.

*** Looking for a sub? Don't forget you can see on the Blog a list of Acolytes who can NOT serve on a given day. If you are seeking a sub, I would encourage you to check this list first to save you time as you reach out to others.

Reminder: We do not mail a hard copy of the schedule (saving costs and paper). It is up to you to check the online schedule.========================

- you may link the Acolyte calendar to your personal Google calendar.

If you use Google calendar, and subscribe to our Acolyte Calendar from the Blog, you can easily "search" your child's name, and get a list of all their commitments.

5th - 12th grade students are invited to join the Acolyte Team at St. Andrews!

We are planning several Acolyte training sessions for later this fall (late September / early October), and are looking for students in grades 5 through seniors in high school to join our ranks. If you are a 5th grader, we would love to involve you now. If you are an 11th or 12th grader ... “it’s never too late!”

Being an Acolyte is a wonderful way for our young men and women of the church to participate directly in the service. It’s not hard, and we have a lot of fun! Acolytes become directly connected to and understand the liturgy in meaningful ways. They also become close friends through worship. This is a GREAT group of young people, and we encourage your son or daughter to get involved this fall!!!
